Data CollectionThese cookies are placed, with your consent, by third party advertisers, such as Microsoft, Google, Facebook and Twitter / X, and third party suppliers who help us deliver our personalised digital advertising to you, such as Tealium. The cookies placed by third party advertisers are typically triggered to either track when someone comes to our sites or apps from an ad displayed on their platforms or to enable us to display advertisements to users on the advertisers’ platforms who have previously visited our sites or apps, with both scenarios allowing us to optimise and manage the advertising with those third party advertisers.
Please note that data collected by these third party providers does not include direct identifiers such as name, email address, phone number etc. – instead, it is data that is linked to a particular browser or device and is typically linked to an advertiser specific randomly-generated ID number to match your browser or device with interest categories, which the advertisers use to then enable companies like us to target groups with particular interests within those advertisers’ environments. The advertisers, like Google, Facebook, Microsoft or Twitter, may use personal data they hold on you to build the interest categories within their environments but this is unrelated to and is not based on cookies served on our sties. For privacy and cookie information in relation to these advertisers, please go to their respective privacy and cookies information online (links are provided within our Cookie Management preference centre).
Separately to cookies, we also use existing customer profile data to build our marketing audience lists and target those audiences (including through the use of third parties) with online personalised marketing.
Therefore, if you are a customer of ours and want to remove yourself from all online personalised marketing, you will need to opt out of both (1) third party marketing/targeting cookies and (2) the use of your customer profile personal data for personalised marketing.
Cookie ValidityThird party cookies are valid for varying periods. Some cookies expire up to 13 months after they are last updated. Such cookies can be deleted at any stage using your browser settings.

How can you control the use of cookies?

Cookie consent choices upon visiting Sky Betting & Gaming sites or apps

When you first visit one of our sites or apps, you will be presented with a banner which offers you a choice between:

  • providing consent for all cookies (the “Allow all cookies” button);
  • rejecting all optional cookies (the “Allow necessary only” button), which will block the use of such cookies on our sites or apps; or
  • opening the Cookie Management preference centre (the “Manage Cookies” button) where you can tailor your choices on each cookie category or type.

Changing cookie preferences on Sky Betting & Gaming sites or apps

You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the “Cookie Management” link in the footer of the site or app. This will open our Cookie Management preference centre, where, as explained above, you can choose which categories of cookies you want turned on or off.

If you change and remove your consent for a specific cookie category, it will result in the cookies being blocked or disabled on our sites and apps, meaning they will not be used by the first (us) or the third party serving the cookies. However, even though the cookies will not be used anymore, the disabled and unused cookies may still remain on your device. To remove unused and disabled cookies from your device, you can do so easily through use of your browser or device settings – see “Cookie control through browser settings” and “Cookie control through Apple iPhone iOS”.

Cookie control through browser settings

Generally, your web browser settings will provide controls that enable you to accept, refuse or delete all cookies, third party cookies or specific website cookies. So, if you want to block cookies at a browser level or third party level, rather than just on our Sky Betting & Gaming site or app, you can do so via your browser settings.

Different settings will be available within each browser but the instructions on how you can change the settings are easy to follow. Below, we provide links to these instructions with commonly used browsers. For more on managing cookies, visit www.allaboutcookies.org.

Please note that this section about cookie management via browser settings is general guidance being provided by us to help you manage your online activity and privacy but as we do not own or manage any of these browser or device processes, , you should contact the browser or device providers directly should you have any queries.

Cookie control through Apple iPhone’s iOS

The Apple iPhone’s operating system, iOS, enables iPhone users to choose which apps can track you or your iPhone across the web.

Control of third party cookies

For each category of cookies placed on our sites or apps, different third parties may be receiving data based on cookies placed on your device. Some of these third parties may be receiving data from cookies served directly by the third parties themselves (i.e. third party cookies), but, due to the way in which Sky Betting & Gaming implement cookies on our sites and apps, the third parties may also be receiving data from cookies placed by us (i.e. first party cookies). The third parties who receive data derived from each category of cookies include the following:

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies include security, traffic management, fraud prevention and service enabling data moving to Akamai, Amazon Web Services, OneTrust, Playtech, SalesForce and Iovation;
  • Functionality Cookies include data moving to SalesForce.
  • Performance Cookies include data moving to Adobe, Google, Microsoft and New Relic.
  • Third Party Marketing / Targeting Cookies include cookies served by Adobe, ComScore, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Tealium, Twitter / X and YouTube.

Full details on each individual cookie being used on our sites and apps, either being placed directly by a third party or sending data to a third party via a first party cookie, is provided through the Cookie Management preference centre. This information includes the third party name, a link to the third party’s privacy and cookie information, and then full details on each individual cookie.

You can block third party cookies used by our sites and apps at any time, from your initial visit or any subsequent visit, by using the Cookie Management preference centre.

If you wish to block third party cookies at a browser level, you can do so by using your browser settings, as explained in “Cookie control through browser settings”.
